Rainton Arena incident: Shocking moment teen girl put in chokehold by security guard

THIS is the shocking moment a teenage girl was put in a chokehold by a security guard at an underage disco.

Horrifying video shows young girl being thrown out of the Rainton Arena in Houghton le Spring, Sunderland, by a bouncer who grabbed her by the throat.

The video begins with the man’s hands wrapped around her neck as onlookers scream in horror.

The teen looks visibly distressed as she tried to release his grip while stumbling backward.

As they reach the entry to the venue the doorman appears to push down on her throat as she is seen struggling to breathe.

He then finally releases his grip and pushes her back in front of tens of shocked disco-goers.

Rainton Arena says the doorman was working for an outside company – but that he has now been fired.

A spokesperson said: “The incident has been raised to Northumbria Police, as the venue will not accept this type of behaviour towards anyone. This is not how anyone should be made to feel at any event.

“Staff and event organisers are all parents, and we are not happy with the actions of the individual.
