A 14-year-old boy allegedly stabbed his aunt, Yulia Nevgodovska, and her four-year-old son Mikhail approximately 50 times in a brutal attack in Kriukivshchyna, near Kyiv, Ukraine. The incident, which occurred six months ago, was captured on surveillance cameras and recently aired on local television.
In the video, the teenager is seen chasing Yulia across her courtyard, attacking her with both a cleaver and a hunting knife. After the assault, he reportedly licked the blood off the knife, commenting on its taste. Yulia recounted that the attack began after she questioned him about scratches on the floor in his room, which he did not explain before leaving abruptly.
The attack escalated when Yulia encountered the boy in the kitchen, where he suddenly attacked her. Despite being injured, Yulia attempted to escape to protect her son, but the boy pursued and attacked them both. The violence only ceased when the boy’s mother arrived at the scene.
Both Yulia and Mikhail survived their severe injuries after emergency medical treatment. The teenager, whose identity is protected, confessed to the police, claiming his actions were a response to ongoing domestic abuse. He had been living with Yulia due to a strained relationship with his mother. A criminal case for attempted murder has been opened against him, with a potential sentence of up to 15 years if convicted.
