“Miraculous Escape: Women Survive Canyon Swing Mishap in Dagestan”

Two women from Dagestan, Russia, narrowly escaped death while swinging over a canyon. The video shows the pair perched on a swing, suspended precariously over the Sulak gorge, a canyon plunging 2,000 meters. Their reckless adventure took a terrifying turn when one of the swing’s chains snapped, sending them plummeting towards the canyon floor.

Fortunately, the video cuts off as the women land on a platform below, escaping with only bruises and scratches. The immediate aftermath saw family members and onlookers rush to pull them to safety, visibly shaken but miraculously unharmed. A source from Komsomolskaya Pravda newspaper commented on the incident, expressing relief that the swing did not give way at its highest point, which could have resulted in far more severe consequences.

The incident has sparked a response from local authorities. The Ministry of Tourism in Dagestan issued a statement confirming that the swing in question did not comply with safety regulations, leading to the fall. They further noted that various agencies are now conducting inspections to prevent similar accidents, emphasizing a commitment to public safety.

Following this near-tragedy, the local police have begun investigating other similar attractions in the region. There is a growing call among some local councils to ban these high-risk attractions permanently. The discussion highlights concerns over the lack of proper safety measures, training, and equipment at these sites, urging a reassessment of what constitutes acceptable recreational activities in such hazardous environments.
