Man arrested in underwear after murder, car-jacking, assaulting trucker in cab

In the early hours of August 28th in Dallas, Texas, a series of criminal acts culminated in the arrest of 27-year-old Ryan Glover. The spree began when Glover allegedly murdered 26-year-old Jacquan Hudson in his apartment on Winding Brook Circle, North Oak Cliff, around 1:14 a.m. Following the shooting, Glover fled the scene, crashing his car into another vehicle, then carjacking an F-150 at gunpoint, only to crash it as well.

The chaotic sequence of events led Glover to seek refuge in a semi-truck off Interstate 35 east and Royal Lane. Here, he was confronted by security guards after he assaulted the truck’s driver. Despite being tased and pepper-sprayed, Glover remained aggressive, prompting the guards to physically restrain him. This confrontation was captured on video by bystander Kale Beneke, who noted the potential for the situation to escalate further violently.

Glover’s arrest came just before 2 a.m., but the gravity of his actions was not fully known until later. It was revealed that prior to his arrest, Glover had killed Hudson, who had been staying with him for several days. The murder went unnoticed by neighbors until Hudson’s body was discovered with multiple gunshot wounds, despite them hearing gunshots.

During police interrogation, Glover claimed amnesia regarding the events after leaving work, stating his last clear memory was heading to his girlfriend’s house. However, evidence including two firearms and marijuana found at his apartment, along with phone records showing Glover made several calls before the crimes, painted a different picture. Witnesses also suggested Glover might have been under the influence.

Currently, Ryan Glover remains in custody, facing charges of murder among others, as the community of Dallas grapples with the sudden violence that unfolded in their midst. The incident has raised questions about mental health, substance abuse, and the rapid escalation of criminal behavior.
