The man who fell off a roof was impaled on a huge bollard

The CCTV footage captured by police officers was initially shared on WhatsApp among colleagues before it was leaked to the public. A separate video, recorded by either a medic or a firefighter at the Public Assistance – Hospitals of Paris (AP-HP), depicted the removal of a bollard from a man’s body. This video showed the man, critically injured and naked, receiving CPR, surrounded by medical personnel and a firefighter, as they worked to extract the pole.

In the video, a man’s voice expresses shock and horror at the scene, with comments reflecting both dismay and a dark humor, indicating the gravity and the emotional impact of the situation. The AP-HP confirmed the authenticity of this video, which was filmed at Beaujon hospital in Clichy, clarifying that the incident was not recent, contrary to some reports by Spanish media.

French authorities initiated an investigation to determine how these sensitive images were disseminated by police and captured within the hospital premises. The footage, although harrowing, captured the final moments of a man who had jumped and was still alive upon the arrival of emergency services. Despite efforts, he succumbed to his injuries an hour after being brought to the hospital.
